Bhubaneswar, November 14: The Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Department on Friday organised a workshop on SUJOG 2.0, focusing on making urban services more citizen-friendly, transparent, and efficient. SUJOG Impact Assessment Report conducted by 60_decibels, which highlights the achievements of SUJOG 1.0 was also launched on this occasion.

H&UD Secretary Usha Padhee, eGov Foundation CEO Viraj Tyagi, Municipal Administration Director Arindam Dakua, BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana and CMC Commissioner Kirandeep Kaur Sahota attended the inaugural session.

“Public services must build trust and go beyond mere transactions. SUJOG 2.0 aims to upgrade technology and governance systems to ensure transparent, accountable, and smooth urban service delivery across the State,” said Padhee.

The second session highlighted how SUJOG 2.0 will support the vision of Viksit Odisha 2036. Shri Prashanth Chandramouleeswaran, Director, eGov Foundation, explained that the upgraded platform will improve service delivery, strengthen grievance redressal, encourage citizen participation, and promote data-based decision-making.

Another session focused on the role of Artificial Intelligence. Manish Srivastava, CTO, eGov Foundation, discussed potential AI applications in sanitation, municipal services, regulatory systems, urban planning, and data analytics.

In the closing session, Padhee and Dakua emphasised the need for teamwork and coordination among all departments and Urban Local Bodies for the successful rollout of SUJOG 2.0 across Odisha.

The workshop reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to improving citizen experience and strengthening last-mile service delivery through digital innovation and better governance systems.
