EXPLOSIVE Diwali Clash in the B-Town. The tussle for screens over. Ajay Devgn starred Singham has an edge over Kartik Aryan starred Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, as exhibitors displayed their indulgence to Rohit Shetty's cop universe show Singham Again, the film bagged 60 percent screens as against 40% for BB3. Cinepolis show little favour to BB3 by allotting 42% screens.
ADVANCEBOOKING:EARLY BIRD CATCHES THE WORM?
The advance booking for the film started quite late, though the booking for BB3 has heralded 24 hrs earlier than Singham again, the ticket booking has picked up at a brisk rate for both the top franchises.
As of 11pm Wednesday, Singham Again has collected Rs 4.26 cr from Day 1 advance booking.
Kartik Aryan’s BB3 has amassed 5.92 cr with the film seeing a total ticket sale of 1.85 lakh.
Ajay Devgn Singham Again saw selling out of 1.41 lakh tickets.
On opening day Singham 3 will be holding 10 992 shows nationally vis-a-vis 8195 shows by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
ODISHACRAZE
A look at the Odisha booking data shows, Singham Again craze in Odisha is hitting the sky. The Ajay Devgn starred film will be having 239 shows on the opening day (Nov 1), whereas BB3 will be holding 159 shows.
The craze for Ajay Devgn Singham seems at a roaring rate inthe State, as of the 239 shows, all tickets were sold for 11 shows, another is on the verge of filling.
Kartik Aryan’s BB3 is having 159 shows in the State on day 1, 5 shows tickets sold out fully , 5 another is filling fast.
From the advance booking, both films have grossed over 7 lakh.
But going by the shows and craze, Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again will be opening with a big number in Odisha vis -a-vis Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
SINGHAM AGAIN VS JAWAN DAY1 ODISHA
Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan’s all time highest grosser Jawan, which was released pan India with out Clash with any big banner movie.
The film in Odisha on day 1 advance booking collected a whopping Rs 47 lakh. But the advance booking for Jawan started atleast a week ahead.
Singham Again, despite booking started late, has grossed Rs 7 lakh. BB3 has also collected Rs 7 lakh.
This shows both big franchises going to have a field day in Odisha. But Singham Again will have a bigger opening than BB3.
Will the Singham Again craze in Odisha take the day 1 advance booking close to Jawan gross? Friday morning will answer the big question. So over to Friday!
