Puri, July 16: A decision regarding the reopening of the inner Ratna Bhandar (treasury) of Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri is likely to be resolved today.
It is presumed so, as the Ratna Bhandar Inventory Committee convened a meeting with the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and the servitor’s forums in the morning.
Justice Biswanath Rath, who leads the inventory committee to oversee the repair and inventory affairs, is presiding the meeting.
Sources said, Chief Administrator of SJTA, Dr. Arabinda Padheee, Puri district Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain, Puri SP Pinak Mishra and ASI officials among others are present in the meeging.
Worth mentioning, the outer and inner cellars of the Ratna Bhandar were broken open on July 14, whereas the inventory of the gems, jewel and other belongings could not be executed due to lack of time.
Following today’s resolution, the Committee might go for reopening the treasure trove of Lord Jagannath, suitably after the Niladri Bije of the deities.
