Bhubaneswar, July 23: The State Institute for Development of Arts and Crafts (SIDAC) under the Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department has invited application for fresh allotment of Ekamra Haat kiosks to craftsmen and weavers.

The notification for fresh allotment of Ekamra Haat kiosks came following media reports about closure of its several kiosks.

The notification has asked applicants to submit the applications along with all required documents before district offices by August 3.

Nestled in the heart of Bhubaneswar city, the Ekamra Haat is a vibrant marketplace which showcases and preserves traditional craftsmanship.

The Ekamra Haat was established by the Odisha government in 2002 with an aim to promote traditional arts, crafts and cuisine of the state with around 50 unique handicrafts and handloom stalls along with hotels serving typical Odia cuisines.
