Puri, Aug 30: The Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee meeting held here in Puri was concluded on Friday with a number of key resolutions.
The managing committee approved the annual budget outlay of Rs 413 crore for the fiscal 2024-25 with a fiscal surplus of Rs 103 crore including the corpus fund worth Rs 500 crore, sanctioned by the Odisha government.
Briefing reporters after a meeting of the temple’s managing committee to finalize the annual budget for 2024-25, Chief Administrator of the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee said that dedicated ways will be developed for senior citizens, women & children and men to ensure smooth and comfortable darshan.
Apart from it, inclusive arrangements will be made for the divyangs, patients and elderly persons for their smooth darshan of the Trinity.Proposal for installation of air-conditioning system in the Nata Mandap of the 12th century shrine was approved which will be initiated soon with consultation with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and other stakeholders for smooth and comfortable darshan of the deities by the devotees, Dr Padhee informed.
The ancient chests and almirahs obstructing the ways of devotees being uselessly placed in the Nata Mandap, will be removed after due consultation with sevayats, Padhee added.
Padhee said that the managing committee accorded in-principle approval for setting up of an FM channel of the temple.
He informed that it has been decided for a GPS survey of Lord Jagannath’s landed property to be conducted by ORSAC and records of the temple will be digitized.
