Bhubaneswar, August 26: IPS officer Anugu Shiva Maruthi Reddy has assumed charge as the Police ADC (Aide-de-Camp) to Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati.

Mr. Reddy formally took charge on Tuesday at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan, where the Governor welcomed him to his new assignment. Senior officials of the Governor’s Secretariat, including Commissioner-cum-Secretary Dr. Rupa Roshan Sahu, were present on the occasion.

Prior to his new posting, Reddy was serving as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of G. Udayagiri. He succeeds IPS officer Ananya Awasthi, who previously served as the Governor’s Police ADC.

The Odisha Governor is assisted by two ADCs—one from the Indian Navy and another from the Odisha Police. Lieutenant Harshit Deo is currently serving as the Naval ADC, while Reddy has taken charge as the Police ADC.

ADCs play a key role in assisting the Governor during official engagements, ceremonial functions and other protocol-related activities.
