Bhubaneswar, Decd 10: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced the admission process for the January 2026 academic session across its various programmes. Interested candidates can submit their applications until January 31, university officials said.

The open university has extended this opportunity to learners of all age groups, particularly those who had discontinued their education midway or were unable to pursue higher studies earlier. Admissions are open for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PG Diploma, and Certificate programmes offered by different schools of IGNOU.

At the undergraduate level, admissions are available in Arts (General), Science (General), and Commerce (General) streams. IGNOU has announced a 50 per cent fee concession on admission and re-registration fees for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates enrolling in these undergraduate programmes. However, SC/ST students availing fee concessions from other sources will not be eligible for the IGNOU fee waiver.

Candidates seeking admission can apply through the official IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in or the admission portal http://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, the university authorities added.
