Bhadrak, Mar 9: The victim, identified as Kumar Swami from the Gunthuna Bazar locality, was allegedly attacked and stabbed by a group of miscreants.

Reports state that the incident occurred late last night during the ‘Melana’, a traditional religious fair at Gunthuna Bazar. Amid the festivities, four youths reportedly approached Kumar Swami, pushed him, and stabbed him multiple times, inflicting severe injuries to his chest and abdomen.

Locals rushed the critically injured victim to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where doctors declared him brought dead.

The exact motive for the killing remains unclear, though authorities suspect it may be linked to past enmity. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault.

Upon receiving the information, Bhadrak Town Police arrived at the spot and have launched an investigation. A manhunt is currently underway to apprehend the four accused involved in the brutal killing.
