Jajpur, Feb 10: A tragic incident unfolded in Kukudakhalei village of Jajpur district, where a couple was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The bodies of Judge Mallik and Jharana Mallik were discovered hanging inside their home late on Monday night.

According to sources, the couple had attended a ceremony earlier in the day and returned home, locking themselves in their room. When they failed to open the door for an extended period, villagers grew suspicious and attempted to break open the door, only to find the couple's bodies hanging.

The villagers immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene, recovered the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem examination.

Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that a family feud may have driven the couple to take such a tragic step. A case of unnatural death has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the deaths.
