Bhubaneswar, February 10: The Odisha Government has approved 23 investment proposals totaling ₹4,111.80 crore, set to create nearly 10,000 employment opportunities across the state.

The approvals were made during the 144th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Ms. Anu Garg. This marks a significant step in strengthening Odisha's industrial ecosystem and fostering job-driven economic growth.

The approved projects span diverse sectors, including Mechanical & Electrical Capital Goods, Apparel & Textiles, Aerospace & Defence Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Mineral Beneficiation, Aluminium Downstream Industries, and Tourism, among others. The investments will be spread across eleven districts: Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Debagarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh.

Key Approved Projects:

  1. Mechanical & Electrical Capital Goods:
    • Nipha Limited will invest ₹384 crore in Khordha for a railway component manufacturing unit, creating 310 jobs.
    • Inventgrid India will set up an Advanced Multi-Drone Manufacturing Centre in Ganjam with ₹300 crore investment, generating 1,000 jobs.
  2. Maritime & Shipbuilding:
    • Northern Express Infradevelopers will establish a shipbuilding and repair facility in Bhadrak with ₹339.40 crore investment, creating 507 jobs.
  3. Apparel & Textiles:
    • J.G. Hosiery Private Limited will create 2,350 jobs in Khordha by setting up an apparel manufacturing unit with a ₹100 crore investment and an annual capacity of 149.76 million pieces.
  4. Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals:
    • Alventa Pharma will build a pharmaceutical formulation unit in Khordha with ₹100 crore investment, creating 250 jobs.
    • Blue Mount Energywill set up a sorbitol manufacturing unit in Cuttack, with an investment of ₹100 crore, generating 100 jobs.
  5. Refractories & Aluminium:
    • Sarvesh Refractorieswill invest ₹62 crore in Sundargarh to expand its silica brick manufacturing plant, creating 100 jobs.
    • Romco Aluminates will set up an alumina-based refractories unit in Koraput, with ₹54.50 crore investment, generating 100 jobs.
  6. Plastics & Glass:
    • Yash Flexi Pack will build a 12,400 MT flexible packaging unit in Balasore, creating 150 jobs with ₹51 crore investment.
    • JBSS Glasswill establish a glass manufacturing plant in Cuttack, with ₹50.85 crore investment, generating 263 jobs.
  7. Steel & Mineral Beneficiation:
    • Kalinga Metalics will set up an iron ore beneficiation plant in Sundargarh with ₹600 crore investment, creating 700 jobs.
    • Shree Ram Iron and Alloys will build a pellet plant in Debagarh, generating 475 jobs with ₹250 crore investment.
  8. Logistics & Warehousing:
    • Shrishti Trading Corporation will develop a logistics park and warehousing facility in Cuttack, generating 595 jobs with ₹160.75 crore investment.
  9. Tourism & Hospitality:
    • Several high-end hospitality projects have been approved, including:
      • A 5-star hotel byMK Assetsin Khordha with ₹210 crore investment, creating 240 jobs.
      • A 5-star luxury hotel byManjeera Hotelsin Puri, generating 450 jobs with ₹200 crore investment.

These 23 projects together will generate 9,924 jobs and contribute a total investment of ₹4,111.80 crore, reinforcing Odisha's position as a leading investment hub in Eastern India. With a diverse industrial base ranging from traditional manufacturing to advanced sectors like aerospace and defence, Odisha is paving the way for balanced, sustainable, and employment-driven growth.
