Severe Heatwave alert: Red warning issued for 9 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar, Ap 30: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has raised concerns over severe heatwave conditions in nine districts of Odisha, prompting a Red Warning. The districts under this warning include Khordha, Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Angul, and Cuttack.
Additionally, an Orange Warning has been issued for several other districts, including Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, and Malkangiri.
Manorama Mohanty, the Director of the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, has indicated that the severe heatwave conditions are expected to persist until May 1. However, there may be a slight reduction in daytime temperatures starting from May 2.
