Mayurbhanj, Feb 27: In a shocking incident, two masked miscreants allegedly slashed the hands of a minor boy after failing to rob his uncle’s house in Mayurbhanj district today. The victim, identified as Sudhanshu Sethi, is the minor son of Dilip Sethi and Tapaswini Sethi, and was alone in his paternal uncle’s house at ward no-12, within the limits of Udala police station.

The horrific event unfolded when the two robbers attempted to break into the house this afternoon. Sudhanshu, sensing danger, fiercely protested and raised an alarm, but the robbers managed to push him aside and enter the house. They attempted to loot valuables from an almirah but were met with resistance from the brave boy.

Frustrated by the failure of their plan, the miscreants became enraged and attacked Sudhanshu with a sharp weapon, slashing both of his hands before fleeing the scene.

It wasn’t until later, when Sudhanshu’s aunty arrived at the house, that she found him unconscious and immediately alerted the family. Sudhanshu was rushed to Udala Hospital for treatment.

The incident remained unknown until Sudhanshu regained consciousness and recounted the entire ordeal. His family filed a complaint, prompting the police to initiate an investigation. The shocking nature of the attack has sent shockwaves through the local community, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend the culprits.
