Mumbai, Dec 12: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who made a massive comeback in 2023 with the blockbuster Pathaan, is officially set to return with its sequel. After months of speculation and no formal confirmation, Pathaan 2 was announced during a high-profile real estate launch event in Dubai, which Khan himself attended.

During the ceremony, a luxury tower named after Shah Rukh Khan was unveiled. On stage, the project’s developer publicly declared that Pathaan 2 is in the works. A video from the event has gone viral on social media, showing the developer saying, “Every blockbuster film has a sequel, right? Like Pathaan. Pathaan 2 is coming. If you watch any blockbuster film, it’s bound to get a sequel.”

At the same event, Shah Rukh Khan reflected on his accomplishments, highlighting his National Award win, the bronze statue of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge installed in London, and now, the naming of a major tower in his honour.

On the work front, Khan is currently busy shooting for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film King. The film features an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukerji, and others. The first look of King was unveiled earlier this year on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday.
