Bhubaneswar, July 25: Senior OAS officer Deba Prasad Das has been reinstated as Joint Secy Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department on Thursday.
Das, who was put under suspension for almost six years, retained his post after the General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued a notification in this connection.
The notification read, “Das is reinstated in service from date of his joining, with the condition that he will not violate the provisions of Odisha Government Servants’ Conduct Rules, 1959, in future,” the official notification issued by General Administration and Public Grievance department said.
He will be posted as joint secretary with Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, the order added.
Worth mentioning, Das was placed under suspension on May 28, 2018, when he was working as Joint Secretary at Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) department following a disciplinary action initiated by the department against him.
