Balasore, Aug 14: The Vigilance sleuths on Monday apprehended Senior Clerk of Simulia Community Health Centre (CHC) in Balasore district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000.
Vigilance sleuths arrested the accused Manoj Kumar Bhanja. Bhanja has demanded the bribe from a contractual nursing officer for processing file for regularisation of his service on completion of contractual period.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from the accused Bhanja and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Bhanja from the disproportionate assent angle.
In this connection, a case has been registered. An investigation is in progress against the accused, said the Vigilance.
