Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: In an unprecedented incident, wreckages of an antique ship are spotted in the sea near Gahirmatha Marine Sanctuary in Odisha’s Kendrapara district.

The wreckages of the ship reportedly became visible after the effect of Cyclone Montha, that affected the sea level and current.

According to reports, the wreckages are visible about a kilometre off Ekakulanasi village under the Rajnagar block.

It’s expected that the remnants of the ship was swept ashore as the sea turned turbulent during the Cyclone Montha.

Marine experts believe that the vessel might date back to the British era, for its nonconventional raw materials, vintage get-up and make.
