Bhubaneswar, May 8: Odisha’s capital is set to host a state-of-the-art Science City, according to an announcement by Science and Technology Minister Krushnachandra Patra. The initiative, aimed at boosting scientific learning and innovation, is being spearheaded by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Minister Patra revealed that the government is taking inspiration from the Science City in Ahmedabad, which he recently visited to study its infrastructure and operations. Plans are underway to develop a similar facility in Bhubaneswar, designed to engage students, researchers, and the general public in science and technology.
In addition to the Science City in the capital, the minister also announced that science parks will be established in every district across the state to foster a scientific temperament and encourage curiosity-driven learning among youth.
