New Delhi, Sept 13: The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor policy scam.

Kejriwal satisfies the triple condition for the grant of bail and we order accordingly, observed the bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan.

The Delhi Chief Minister had moved the apex court with two separate petitions – challenging the denial of bail and against his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The Delhi High Court had upheld his arrest in the corruption case on August 5 and he challenged the decision in the Supreme Court.

The apex court had reserved the verdict on September 5 after hearing counsels representing Kejriwal and CBI.
