​​​​​​​Delhi, Oct 28: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday monitored the war rooms set up to assess Cyclone Montha and its impact on the railway infra.

Following discussions with the Odisha & Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers, Vaishnaw assured prompt restoration of railway services post landfall of the cyclone.

Taking to X, Vaishnaw said, “In preparation for Cyclone Montha's expected impact on the East Coast, war rooms are activated at Divisional, Zonal and Board levels. Positioned essential resources in east coastal divisions.”

“Our teams in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Guntur are on alert. Train operations are being closely monitored to minimize disruptions”, the post added.

On another post the Minister for Railways said, “Spoke with Andhra Pradesh CM @ncbn  Ji and Odisha CM @MohanMOdisha  Ji, along with concerned Railway officials.Decisions taken for immediate restoration work post landfall of the cyclone.”
