Bhubaneswar, February 22:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has given the green light to 10 major industrial projects worth a combined Rs 44,241.97 crore, which are expected to generate 8,765 job opportunities across eight districts in the state. This decision was made during the 44th meeting of the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), which the Chief Minister chaired on Saturday.

In his remarks, CM Majhi highlighted the state’s shift from traditional industries to emerging, technology-driven sectors. “Odisha is embracing new-age industries, including advanced manufacturing and renewable energy. These strategic HLCA approvals are designed to create a fertile environment for new businesses, which will play a key role in our vision of a Samruddha Odisha by 2036,” he stated.

The approved projects span several key sectors, including rare earth manufacturing, semiconductor, cement, automobiles & auto-components, telecom infrastructure, and power & renewable energy. They are spread across the districts of Khurda, Koraput, Malkangiri, Dhenkanal, Puri, Nayagarh, Kalahandi, and Deogarh.

CM Majhi emphasized the importance of not only attracting investments but ensuring their timely implementation. “It's crucial that these approvals translate into actual construction and production within specified timelines. Our focus is on the efficient execution of these projects. Under the collaborative spirit of Team Odisha, we are fortifying our institutional mechanisms to ensure a seamless transition from planning to execution.”Bottom of Form
