Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi conducted his 16th public grievance hearing on Monday, where approximately 1,000 citizens, who had registered online, were invited to present their individual complaints, requests, and welfare issues. The session took place at the old government primary school in Unit-II, Bhubaneswar.

During the hearing, the Chief Minister listened to a wide range of concerns, including issues related to pension delays, land allotment, and requests for changes in housing benefits. Citizens arrived early in the morning to present their cases, and many of these were recorded by the Chief Minister and relevant departmental representatives for future follow-up.

These grievance hearings, initiated earlier this year by the new government, aim to create a direct link between citizens and top administrative decision-makers. With this latest session marking the 16th such event, officials confirmed that follow-up actions would be carried out in coordination with the concerned departments based on the written and recorded submissions.

The initiative is seen as an important step toward transparent governance and active citizen engagement.
