Delhi, Nov 12: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officially took over the Delhi Red Fort blast case from the Delhi Police on Wednesday.

The FIR and all case documents were handed over to the NIA last night. Based on it, an NIA team, along with forensic experts, inspected the blast site near the Red Fort in the morning.

Sources reveal that the explosive-laden Hyundai i20 car used in the attack was parked inside the Al-Falah University campus in Faridabad between October 29 and November 9, days before it was driven into Delhi.

At least 13 people were killed and more than 20 injured after a blast in a car near Red Fort on Monday evening.

The blast took place in a Hyundai i20 car at 6.52 pm near the Red Fort Metro Station, leaving mangled bodies and damaged cars scattered in the busy area.
