Puri, March 18: In a shocking incident, a woman was charred to death in a fire mishap reported from Dubapatna village under Balanga police limits in Odisha’s Puri district on Wednesday.

According to reports, the incident occurred earlier in the day when the woman was caught in a fire and died on the spot. The exact cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.

On receiving information, Balanga police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. Authorities are yet to ascertain whether the death was a case of murder or suicide.

Senior officials, including Pipili SDPO Debashis Mishra, have reached the scene and are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
