Nuapada, Nov 11: The Presiding Officer of Booth No. 36 in Kuliabandh, Nuapada, Dhannanjay Mallik, has been suspended for breaching the secrecy of voting, according to the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).

Announcing the action at a press briefing, the CEO said that polling across the state is proceeding peacefully and in an orderly manner, with CCTV cameras monitoring the process at various booths.

Voting began at 7 a.m., and by 9 a.m., the voter turnout stood at 14.99 percent. The CEO further informed that polling will end at 4 p.m. in eight booths, while in the remaining polling stations, the process will continue until 5 p.m.
