Bhubaneswar, Jan 24: Senior IPS officer Sanjeeb Panda has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police(CP) of the twin-city Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.
The Department of Home, Government of Odisha issued a notification in this connection on Wednesday.
According to the notification, a 1994-batch IPS officer Panda will replace present CP Soumendra Priyadarshi, who has been posted as Director of Intelligence.
Panda at present is Director of Intelligence and holding additional charge of CMD, OPHWC.
Apart from it, as many as 18 IPS officers in the level of SP, DIG, and IG, have been transferred and given new postings in a reshuffle effected by the state government on the same order.
