Bhubaneswar: Here goes the big buzz. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is set to produce Rowdy Rathore 2 and has finalized its core plot.
As per the buzz, he is collaborating with Prem (Kannada Director) on the script, aiming to create a sequel worthy of the 2012 blockbuster. The casting will begin in summer 2025, it added.

The 2012 Akshay Kumar starred Rowdy Rathore was produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and the film was directed by well know choreographer Prabhu Deva.
The film, which has been a remake of 2010 Tollywood film Vikramarkudu starring Ravi Teja, became a blockbuster hit in year 2012.
The Akshay Kumar starred film saw over 2 cr footfalls in year 2012.
Made in a budget of Rs 77cr, the film went on to earn Rs 131 cr in its life time.
The Akshay Kumar starred movie was released on 2800 screens, and had earned Rs 14cr on its opening Day. In the first weekend , the film collected Rs 46cr.
The film also had a good overseas collection.
WILL ANY OTHER STAR DO JUSTICE?
Akshay Kumar was at his elements in the character of Rowdy Rathore on screen. The energy, the forcve, the spontainety and the comic sense, Akshay Kumar delivered on screen is unmatchable.
But as the buzz goes that the producer since 2023 was looking at a younger actor, who could be the actor?
Among the current crops of bollywood actors, two actors seem likely to fit the bill.
