Cuttack, Oct 29: At least 16 boarders of the Ravenshaw East hostel Cuttack were hospitalized on Wednesday after a diarrhea broke out on the campus.

According to reports, some students of Ravenshaw University, residing in the East Hostel complained of loose motion, abnormal vomiting and instant fever this morning.

On being informed, at least 15 affected ones were admitted to the SCB hospital in the morning whereas one more was shifted to the hospital in the afternoon as he complained of acute clamp in his belly with severe and frequent loose motion.

The reason behind the diarrehea infection is yet unclear. However, contaminated food or water might have triggered the outbreak, anticipate the boarders.

Remarks of the hostel warden, Varsity authorities and the attending doctors, are yet awaited.
