Angul, Feb 21: A tragic road accident occurred near Angul along National Highway 55, when a car collided with the rear of a truck, killing two persons, while another sustained critical injuries. The injured person was rescued and rushed to a nearby medical for treatment.

The deceased victims have been identified as Amit Kumar Sahu and Bhisma Sahu. Currently, the identity of the critically injured person has not been confirmed.

According to sources, several people were traveling in a car towards Sambalpur when the accident occurred where road construction work was underway. The car lost control and slammed into the back of a stationary truck, causing a severe impact. The collision led to the immediate death of two individuals, and another sustained serious injuries.

Authorities have begun their investigation into the cause of the accident.
