​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Oct 23: Aluminium major Vedanta Limited is going to set up its 3rd Aluminium Plant in Odisha at Dhenkanal soon.

Ace industrialist & Chairman of Vedanta Group Anil Agarwal announced it on Thursday following a productive discussion with the Odisha Cheif Minister at the Lok Seva Bhawan here in Bhubaneswar.

Responding to the press, Agarwal said, the proposed 3MTPA Aluminium Plant in Dhenkanal aims to produce at least 3MT30 lakh tonnes of aluminium annually with an investment of at least Rs 1 lakh crore.

According to Agarwal, once the land acquisition is completed within a month, execution of the project will begin within a few months. Similarly.Similarly, the timeline for its completion will be at best three-and-a-half year.

The new project is expected to generate direct employment opportunities for approximately 30,000 Odisha youths, said Agarwal.

The Chief Minister assured of all necessary clearances and land allocations for the project at the earliest, Agarwal added.
