Koraput, Feb 24: In a bizarre incident, a girl, with the help of her lover killed her mother and the only minor brother, who allegedly stood barriers before her love.

The incident took place at Borigumma village in Odisha’s Koraput district a couple of days ago, that came to light on Tuesday after two bodies, stuffed in sacks were recovered from a nearby canal.

The deceased have been identified as Anuska Parida(45) and Aesh Parida(14).

According to reports, Anuska’s 16-year old daughter was in a love relationship with a local boy. On being aware of it, Anuska opposed the girl’s intimacy with the boy. As a result, the boy had eloped with his fiancee and remained in a live-in relationship somewhere outside Koraput for months. Meanwhile, Anuska separated her daughter from her lover and took her aback home with the intervention of Police following an agreement signed by both the parties in the PS. With the agreement, both the boy and the girl agreed not to keep any relationship with each other.

Consequently, aggrieved on the mother’s decision, the girl who was almost blind in love with the guy, intended to eliminate her mother and the minor brother permanently, who almost stood as barriers on her way. Accordingly, she killed the duo on February 19 with the help of her lover after hacking them, stuffed the bodies in sacks and disposed them of in the Jayantagiri Canal under the Kotapad Police limit.

The Borigumma Police, acting on a missing report, recovered the bodies from the water today and unearthed the modus operandi of the accused lovebirds.

A murder case has been registered in this connection, on the basis of which the lovebirds were arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
