Gunupur, Aug 22: Forest officials are on alert after a Royal Bengal Tiger was sighted on Andhra-Odsiha border near Odisha’s Gunupur.

Peoples of the bordering villages are also in panic following a video of the big cat went viral on social media.

Sources said a big tiger was spotted moving around the Gunupur forest division in Odisha’s Rayagada district and the Bhamini Block under the Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, a panic was wreaked in the localities after a video featuring the movement of the tiger in the bordering villages and its hideout under a bridge was bustled on social media.

 On being informed forest officials of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha have visited the site to spot the tiger. They have traced out the footprints of the tiger on the bordering forest. However, the where about of the tiger is yet to be ascertained, said a forest official of the Gunupur Range.
