Balasore, Aug 29: At least 6 workers were hospitalized on Thursday after a rod-binding framework of an under-construction river-bridge collapsed in Odisha's Balasore.
The incident took place at Pantei near Jaleswar.
Sources said,rod binding was underway for the under-construction bridge over the Subarnarekha River at the Pantei village in the afternoon. Meanwhile ,the rod framework fastened for the roof collapsed all of a sudden.
As a result, the men at work sustained severe injuries whereas six of them became critical as they were stuck under the rods.
On being informed,locals rushed the critical ones to Jaleswar hospital for treatment.
