Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Ace Odia Film Producer, Director & Screen-play writer Bappi David is no more.
David(47) reportedly died of Cardiac arrest on Friday at Titlagarh.
According to sources, David was in his abode at Titlagarh under Odisha’s Balangir District. While playing a friendly cricket match, organised by the CNI Church Titlagarh in the afternoon, David complained of a bad chest pain. He was rushed to the Titlagarh hospital for medical intervention where the doctors reported that David is suffering from a cardiac problem. Later, he was referred to the DHH Balangir for resuscitation. However,he succumbed to cardiac arrest enroute.
Bappi David was a phenomenal director and screen-play writer, very famous in Odia cine industry.He came to light and prominence, meticulously directing the 2021 film 'Cuttack Weds Sambalpur', where he also contributed to the screenplay, story, and dialogues alongside other writers like Jatindra Pradhan and Jitendra Seth.
David was a prominent figure in Ollywood (Odia film industry), who worked on modern productions that blend local themes, folk culture with popular appeal, as seen in his association with RR Events & Studio 365.
