Bhubaneswar, Jan 12: Odisha celebrated 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram” with a massive collective singing event. At 11 a.m., students, teachers, and staff from schools, colleges, and universities across the state gathered to sing the patriotic song together.
Along with the musical tribute, students also recited the Atmanirbhar Bharat Swadeshi Sankalp (Self-Reliant India pledge), reflecting the spirit of national pride and self-reliance. The celebrations were held in conjunction with National Youth Day in schools throughout Odisha.
Earlier, the Department of Odia Language, Literature, and Culture had written to the School, Mass Education, and Higher Education Departments to organize training programs for Vande Mataram, which were conducted in the Jaipur, Berhampur, Balasore, and Bhubaneswar divisions to ensure statewide participation.
