Kolkata, Sept 14: In the Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College rape-murder case of a trainee doctor, the former principal of the college Sandip Ghosh and Abhijit Mondal, Officer-In-Charge(OIC) of Tala police station have been arrested by CBI on Saturday.
Ghosh and Officer in-Charge of the Tala Police Station Abhijit Mondal who were under scanner of the CBI, have been arrested on charges of misleading investigation in the initial probe by Kolkata Police and tampering of evidence, after hours-long interrogation to them regarding the brutal rape and murder of the junior doctor.
Earlier, Ghosh was arrested in a financial irregularities case initiated by the CBI sleuths based on the complaint of a higher official of the Medical College.
