Aryapalli, June 20: The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Satyabrat Sahu has directed the intensification of rescue operations for a missing youth who drowned in the Aryapalli Sea.
The Coast Guard will deploy a helicopter to aid in the rescue efforts. The fire department, Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), and police have already reached the site and are actively continuing the search operation.
The missing youth has been identified as Hemansen Behera from K. Aryapalli village.
According to reports, Hemansen went swimming in the sea with four to five friends yesterday. Suddenly, a rogue wave swept him away, and he went missing in the water.
The ODRAF team is diligently searching the area to locate him.
On being informed, police along with fire brigade officials reached at the scene to investigate and oversee the rescue operations.
