Nuapada, Oct 31: While political parties are hitting the ground ahead of the Nuapada bypoll, a BJP worker has moved police against BJD leader Pranab Prakash Das @ Bobby Das on Friday.

The youth, identified as Jitu Adbang has lodged a complaint with the Komna Police wherein he as also accused Khariar MLA Adhiraj Mohan Panigrahi and one Manoj Mishra.

In the complaint, Adbang accused the trio of physically assaulting him in a farmhouse over political rivalry.

The complaint raid, “Yesterday at around 2.00 PM, Bobby Das and Adhiraj Panigrahi called me to come to the (BJD organisational district) general secretary Manoj Mishra’s farmhouse,”

“After I reached there (the farmhouse), Bobby Das came to me and held my hand tightly, scolded me and assaulted me saying, why I am with the BJP now.Later on he warned me of dire consequences if I continue with the BJP”, the complaint added.

Acting on the complaint, the Khariar Police initiated an investigation into the matter.

No response from Das and Panigrahi, has been received so far regarding the allegations levelled against the BJD leaders.

On the other hand, the police have never commented on the issue yet.
