Keonjhar, Dec 30: The Odisha Vigilance Department launched simultaneous searches at six locations associated with Sri Jitendra Kumar Jena, Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Bancho Gram Panchayat under Hatadihi Block, Keonjhar district. The action follows allegations of possession of disproportionate assets (DA).

The operation was carried out by a team comprising four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), eight Inspectors, and other supporting staff, acting on search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar.

The locations raided include:

• Jena’s residential triple-storied building at Biranchipur, Mareigaon, Hatadihi.
• Newly constructed double-storeyed market complex at Jagannathpur Mouza, Basantia Bazar.
• Two rented godowns of “Maa Saraswati Sales” at Basantia Bazar, Hatadihi.
• His electronics shop, “Saraswati Sales,” at Bidyadharpur.
• Paternal house at Padhiaripalli village, Hatadihi.
• His office at Bancho GP under Hatadihi Block.

The searches are currently underway, and authorities have confirmed that further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
