Bhubaneswar, Aug 24: Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on properties belonging to Bijay Kumar Parida, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Rayagada on charges of possession of disproportionate assets from the known sources of income.
Sources said Vigilance sleuths have conducted raids simultaneously at seven places including his residential government quarter at Rayagada, office chamber at Rayagada, his flat in Bhubaneswar and his relative’s house in Cuttack.
The searches are being carried out by eight DSPs, six Inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
The exact amount of assets is yet to be ascertained.
