Puri, July 18: Public darshan in Puri Jagannath temple was prohibited on Thursday owing to the inventory of the Ratna Bhandar.
In view of seamless opening of the Lord’s treasury and assessments of its belongings, Puri Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) issued notifications in this connection last night.
According to the decisions taken by the Shree Jagannath temple managing committee, devotees will not be allowed into the Shree Jagannath temple after 8 AM till the functionalites of the Ratna Bhandar inventory committee ends.
Worth mentioning, tens of thousands of visitors heve reportedly waited in the Puri shrine to have a darshan of the Adhara Pana rituals scheduled in the evening today and the auspicious Niladri Bije, the homecoming of the deities to the Shrimandir scheduled tomorrow. However, the restriction imposed on common darshan today due to the intervention of Ratna Bhandar inventory, has hit the sentiments of the devotees, gathered from across the world.
