Bhubaneswar, July 1: Elaborate arrangements will be made for world famous Rath Yatra to be held on July 7-8 by the State government for the smooth conduct of the grand festival at Puri, said DGP Arun Sarangi
DGP Arun Sarangi said that as many as 180 platoons of police force would be deployed in the pilgrim town for the smooth and timely conduct of Rath Yatra, which is likely to witness a footfall of over 10 lakh of devotees from different parts of the country and globe.
Similarly, 4 Additional Director General of Police, 6 Inspector General , 14 Deputy Inspector General- DIG, 130 Inspectors will be deployed for supervision and in charge of smooth function of grand festival – Ratha Yatra at puri .
Additionally, 90 Executive Magistrates will also be deployed during the Ratha Yatra at Puri
Besides, special emphasis this year will be on crowd and traffic management, chariot pulling, and providing security to VVIPs
For the upcoming Rath Yatra in Puri, the Odisha Police is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a smooth and secure event.
The focus this year is on ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, while maintaining security and crowd control.
Notably, Puri Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb called on CM Mohan Charan Majhi today and discussed about smooth conduct of the grand festival Ratha Yatra.
