The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) is closely supervising all aspects of preparation, particularly for the Snana Yatra, scheduled for June 11 (Wednesday). SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee confirmed that all rituals are being organized in strict coordination with temple servitors and in accordance with the traditions of Deva Snana Purnima.

He noted that the Daita servitors began entering the temple today, with the Senapatalagi ritual set for tomorrow. Upgrades have been made at the Snana Mandap to ensure a smooth and devotional viewing experience for visiting devotees. Additionally, special arrangements have been made for those watching the rituals from Bada Danda (Grand Road).

Dr. Padhee appealed to all temple servitors to maintain their continued cooperation for the seamless performance of both the Snana Yatra and the main Rath Yatra.

In a related development, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling issued a public advisory, urging anyone showing Covid-19 symptoms to refrain from attending the festival in person. “We are deploying 300 doctors to provide medical services during the Rath Yatra. Anyone with Covid-like symptoms should avoid visiting Puri during this time,” he stated.

With comprehensive efforts underway and coordinated action among temple authorities, servitors, and government departments, Odisha looks set to deliver a safe and spiritually enriching Rath Yatra 2025.
