New Delhi, October 12: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has urged advocates to wear white ribbons on Tuesday as a mark of solidarity with fellow lawyers who were allegedly mistreated and manhandled by police during recent protests in the national capital.
According to a circular signed by SCBA Honorary Secretary Pragya Baghel, a majority of the Association’s executive committee members decided to take the step in view of a resolution adopted by the SCBA on October 10.
The Association has also called upon its members to assemble in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue at 1.15 pm on Tuesday and observe a minute of silence to express solidarity with the affected members of the Bar.
