Puri, May 1: As preparations for the world-renowned Rath Yatra are underway on June 27, the review meeting will be held today at the Puri Town Hall.
The Central ARDC (Additional Revenue Divisional Commissioner) will lead the meeting. This year's Rath Yatra is expected to see a significant gathering of devotees, surpassing the crowd from previous years, prompting the administration to make comprehensive preparations for the event.
The discussions will focus on a wide range of arrangements, including the collection and preparation of the chariot wood, the construction of the chariots, cleaning of the chariot yards, and the procurement of materials for the festival.
Other key areas of focus will include ensuring health and sanitation services, water supply, electricity, transportation, road repairs, parking facilities, security arrangements, and the organization of cultural events, exhibitions, and volunteer coordination.
District officials such as the District Collector, Superintendent of Police (SP), Chief Administrator of the Srimandir, servitors, and members of the SJTA will also participate in this important meeting to ensure a smooth Rath Yatra.
