Bhubaneswar, June 16: Ahead of the ‘Snana Purnima’ and world famous ‘Rath Yatra’ of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today chaired a review meeting to ensure smooth conduct of the festival.
The meeting was attended by Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Chief Secretary PK Jena, Police DG Arun Sarangi, and Saumendra Kumar Priyadarshi.
CM Majhi has been briefed on various aspects, and a meeting will soon be held with servitors and all stakeholders to ensure the smooth conduct of rituals and other arrangements by the Odisha government, said Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan.
Regarding the heavy rush of devotees at Srimandir, the Law Minister commented, "No issues have been observed; the crowd is due to the continuous holidays. Everyone's cooperation is essential, and we expect things to become more streamlined in the coming days."
It is worth mentioning that the ‘Snana Purnima’ falls on June 22 this year while the world famous ‘Rath Yatra’ of the holy trinity will be held on July 7.
