Cuttack, Aug 24: Rape accused Cardiologist Dr Thakur Dilbag Singh of SCB Medical College & Hospital; Cuttack has been rusticated from his service on Saturday.
Following the instructions of the Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Dr Santosh Kumar Mishra on Thursday, the Principal of SCB Medical College & Hospital expelled the doctor on the charges of sexual assault to two women patients during cardiological procedures.
Underlining the disciplinary action initiated against Dr Thakur Dilbag Singh who was arrested on the charges of raping two women patients while conducting their cardiological tests, the DMET had said the a departmental investigation by a 3-member committee led by him corroborated the involvement of the accused doctor in the heinous crime.
“On the basis of the report of the inquiry committee, a letter has been submitted to the Principal of the SCB Medical College and Hospital, asking him to rusticate the accused doctor”, the DMET added.
