Sambalpur, Feb 7: Sambalpur University has suspended an Assistant Professor of its MBA Department following allegations of sexual harassment. The suspension of Dr. Saroj Kumar Sahu was ordered by the University Registrar on the directions of the Vice-Chancellor.

According to sources, a female PhD scholar working under Dr. Sahu had recently lodged a complaint alleging sexual harassment. In response, the university initiated an inquiry into the matter.

However, the suspension has been effected even as the investigation remains incomplete. As of now, the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) has neither concluded the probe nor submitted its report. Despite the absence of final findings, the university authorities have proceeded with disciplinary action against the accused faculty member.
