Mumbai, Jan 17: Actors Arun Govil, Sunil Lahiri, and Deepika Chikhalia, renowned for their roles in Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayan,' paid a visit to Ayodhya to film their album 'Hamare Ram Aayenge.' During a media event in Ayodhya, Arun Govil, who portrayed the character of Lord Ram, expressed his thoughts on the Pran Pratistha Mahotsav of Lord Ram.
Arun Govil stated, "Ayodhya's Ram temple will serve as our 'Rashtra Mandir.' This temple will revive the culture that has faded worldwide in recent years, sending a message that strengthens our heritage. It will become a source of inspiration, a center of faith, pride, and identity for us all. Our moral values should be embraced by everyone."
Reflecting on the magnitude of the consecration event, he remarked, "I had no idea that the consecration of Lord Ram would unfold in this manner. This is the most significant event of my life. The emotional and energetic atmosphere, with the entire country chanting Lord Ram's name, is beyond imagination. It is a pleasant feeling to witness such a historic moment."
Sunil Lahiri, who portrayed Laxman, expressed his gratitude for attending the Pran Pratistha Mahotsav, noting the positive and religious atmosphere in the country. He emphasized, "Those who deny Ram do not understand who Ram is unless they delve into the Ramayana. Ramayana teaches us to live with dignity, a lesson unknown to those who deny Ram."
Deepika Chikhalia, who played the role of Goddess Sita, shared her perspective, saying, "Our image has firmly entrenched itself in people's hearts. Even after the construction of the Ram temple, I believe there will be no change. Ram Lala's consecration is a momentous occasion, and the characters of Ramayana will continue to receive love."
The actors also confirmed their attendance at the Pran Pratistha ceremony. The album 'Hamare Ram Aayenge,' featuring Sonu Nigam's vocals, was filmed at Guitar Ghat, Hanumangarhi, and Lata Chowk.
