Puri, AP 17: Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri recipient Sudarsan Pattnaik marked the occasion of Ram Navami on Wednesday, by crafting a vibrant sand sculpture of Shri Ram at Puri Beach. Accompanied by his team, Pattnaik skilfully created the intricate sand sculpture as part of the festivities.
Ram Navami, a significant Hindu festival, is celebrated across India on Wednesday. In Ayodhya, devotees gathered at the Ram Mandir in large numbers, showcasing their faith and joy in celebration, especially significant as this mark the first Ram Navami after the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. Sudarsan Pattnaik's sculpture depicts Bhagwan Ram in a restful pose, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the occasion.
Prior to the pran pratishtha ceremony at the newly constructed Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, Pattnaik had created another remarkable sand art portraying Lord Ram, the Ram temple, and featuring Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This monumental sand art, standing 23 ft high and 55 ft wide, set a world record as the largest sand art dedicated to Lord Ram.
