Rakhi Purnima: CM Majhi, Dy CMs extend greetings, highlight women’s dignity

Bhubaneswar, August 27: Odisha leaders on Thursday extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima, highlighting the bond of love, trust and affection between brothers and sisters.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conveyed his greetings, particularly to the women of the state. He said the safety, dignity and respect of women remained his highest priority and expressed pride over women becoming self-reliant through the state government’s Subhadra scheme.

 

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida also extended her wishes on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima, also known as Gahma Purnima, describing it as a festival symbolising the unbreakable bond of love and faith between brothers and sisters.
